Great Plains Literacy Council Presents Chair Yoga! Taught by a licensed instructor,Erin Martinez, this FREE event will be held every Tuesday starting January 9th, 2024!

Come join us at 11:00 a.m. in the Altus Public Library!

The Great Plains Literacy Council and the Southern Prairie Library System are co-sponsoring a series of Health and Wellness programs to encourage and promote healthy lifestyles in southwest Oklahoma. “Financial assistance for these special projects is made possible with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services administered through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.”  Additional funding is provided by a Southwest Rural Electric Operation Round Up grant.

Zumba Gold with Janelle Picinich

Janelle Picinich is a very knowledgeable and entertaining licensed Zumba instructor.
Some of you may know her from Stand Strong Fitness Center where she is a Zumba instructor.
Her classes are enjoyed by many.

Altus Library Assistant

ALTUS LIBRARY ASSISTANT Full time, 40 hours per week which includes evening and Saturday hours as required.
Duties include: a variety of library reference and circulation functions, high level customer service, children’s and adult program development, promotion and marketing assistance through social media.
Requirements: Associate’s Degree with excellent written and oral communication skills; computer applications experience; and a minimum of two years of public service experience in a library setting or equivalent. Applications available at the Altus Public Library.
