Brittney Willis GPLC Newest Member and AmeriCorps VISTA Member

This is Brittney Willis, she is an AmeriCorps VISTA member. A VISTA member provides indirect service, building the capacity of the organization to be able to provide direct service. AmeriCorps is a network of local, state, and national service programs that connects over 70,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet community needs in education, the environment, public safety, health, and homeland security. Those members who serve will receive a partial education award. Brittney’s first assignment was to set up a display of well-known Authors for Black History month in the library. These books and many others are available to check out at the Southern Prairie Library System. Welcome Brittney to our program and we are excited to have you with us for an eventful year.
