Mirage Memmer presents this FREE 2 series cooking class that will concentrate on the goal of helping to brainstorm what cooking for one and Cooking on a budget. It gives examples that take a look at how cooking could look like in a day. We’ll look at an example menu of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a dessert and how you too can start planning out home-cooked or semi-homemade meals for one. We’ll get to taste-test one of the recipe ideas shared by learning how to make our own charcuterie box for a lunch-themed meal idea!

The Great Plains Literacy Council and the Southern Prairie Library System are co-sponsoring a series of Health and Wellness programs to encourage and promote healthy lifestyles in southwest Oklahoma. “Financial assistance for these special projects is made possible with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services administered through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.” Additional funding is provided by a Southwest Rural Electric Operation Round Up grant.

ALTUS LIBRARY ASSISTANT Full time, 40 hours per week which includes evening and Saturday hours as required.
Duties include: a variety of library reference and circulation functions, high level customer service, children’s and adult program development, promotion and marketing assistance through social media.
Requirements: Associate’s Degree with excellent written and oral communication skills; computer applications experience; and a minimum of two years of public service experience in a library setting or equivalent. Applications available at the Altus Public Library.
