DESCRIPTION:The Coffee Cup Bunch Friends of the Library welcomes award-winning author\, Sidney Thompson at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday\, February 7th\, 2024\, at the Altus Public Library\, 421 N. Hudson.\n \nSidney will tell “the rest of the story” of the most feared U.S. Marshal in Indian Territory\, Bass Reeves. Sidney is returning to Altus to present the final book in his trilogy: “The Forsaken and the Dead” as well as tell us about his experiences in working as a consultant on the Paramount+ “Lawman: Bass Reeves” miniseries. Thompson’s works narrate Reeves’ exploits in the world of the frontier that is now Oklahoma\, Arkansas and Texas. This event is free and open to the public. We hope you will join us!!
